maybe it's just me, but I've never been put off by gore. I find, especially in a movie called The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, that gore should be expected (although the element that made the original so great is it's incredible lack of gore). But none the less, there are 2 ways you can take a horror film with gore, either really more on the imagination and show little gore or only where appropriate, or hold nothing back and show the gory and gruesome details with in-your face carnage. I enjoy both, of course it all depends on the film. I thought in that film it worked well.
