So, this packaging.. Are we thinking it's going to have a transparent plastic lid? like a black base with a slot for the book and everything, and then a plastic case that pulls off?

I still can't gage how it will look in real life, but if it is a cheapy/flimsy plastic lid, then I'll be disappointed. Wish they'd hurry up and put up some full pictures of the UK version.

I don't think it will be perspex and I hope it won't be the stuff they use in blister packs. Hopefully it's decent quality or it may get scuffed to bits.

Count me in as someone waiting for the individual releases. Love Hitchcock but can't say i've got any great desire to sit through a great number of his films on a loop.

Am waiting for 'Strangers on a Train' and 'Dial M For Murder' and will likewise wait for 'The Birds', 'Rear Window' and 'Vertigo'.

I too would like to own the whole collection on singles, especially if they all have fantastic slips that were similar in style (spines for instance). I doubt they'll do it all at once though, it will be dribs and drab and therefore probably not consistant (and the fact that several are on other distribution rights).

Still want an idea of the packaging for this, I just can't see it. Considering there's no blue banner splattered over the top, it will all be transparent?

Much prefer a Bond style boxset.

The UK set will be the centerpiece of my collection since Hitchcock is one of my faves. I'm also saving $90 by getting the US set!

Universal releases are almost always region free. It's also down as region free with Amazon. So you can order with them and safely return it if there are any playback issues.

Do it now man, now!

Citizen Kane should not be that high up. Very overrated.

Having a quick look on the German site it seems North By Northwest has been removed from the list with the Masterpiece set but is included in a new Warner set which has Dial M For Murder in 3D and Strangers On A Train.

Yeah (ofcourse ), but from the pics I think the WB collection is just a big box with the individual new WB releases inside it.

I've only seen it once but I was blown away by how much I loved it. Was initially put off as I'd heard mixed reviews on it, but I was glued for the whole movie and the photography is beautiful. I've put off watching it since a few times as I want to save it so it doesn't become over watched for me!

Love vertigo. Truly amazing film. Excellent story, great acting and unbelievable photography. It's a masterpiece. It's should be common syllabus for filmmakers. How to make a great movie. Well, IMO.

Saw it when first released in 70mm. Looked awesome. Just voted Greatest movie ever by Sight and Sound magazine in UK, knocking Citizen Kane off top spot it has had for years.
