Hey Frogmort....where you been dude? Your job is to entertain me and you've been slacking lately.

Maybe you need some incentive.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.

Sorry I haven't been around much here lately. I've been kind of down. I've been unemployed for a while, and broke. Just a few weeks ago, I had almost 300 blu-rays, but I had to sell a bunch of them to pay some bills and buy food and gas. Now I only have 56 BD's left, and I'll probably end up having to sell some of those too.

I've been spending a lot of time sleeping and reading, as those two things don't cost much money.

I have applied for a job at many places over the last month or so without much luck, but I finally got a full time restaurant job, and should be starting in the next few days, so I'll be back on track pretty soon.

Thanks again everybody.

Hi Joe, I'm feeling bad for you buddy. I've had my spells of unemployment in the past so I know what you are going through. Hope you get to meet some future prospects while you work at the restaurant job. It's a great place to network.

Thanks Al.

I'm not doing real bad yet though. As long as I can figure out a way to pay my phone/internet bill in about a week, and buy enough food and gas for a couple of weeks, I'll be fine. I have a few things around the house that I don't really have much use for anymore that I'll try to pawn, so hopefully that will get me through.

I also hope to meet some "future prospects" at my new job.

Yes that's it exactly. Although i promised you that i was done with upgrading it's harder too stop completely. Actually im broke too, selling of my 25.5" Samsung monitor this evening too be able too afford food this month. So you are not alone buddy. Actually im almost always broke.

This is the stuff i've just ordered:

the t.akustik 5020 Pyramid 2pcs Set for the ceiling.

Behringer FBQ1000 (refresh of the DSP1124P) for EQ'ing the two subs from ~20-120hz.

Calibrated Dayton EMM-6 microphone

Tascam US-122MK2 as an external soundcard and preamp for the mic. Much better quality than the Realtek one in my laptop.

M-Audio USB Midisport Uno for transferring commands. Also some quality cables and adapters.

That's some nice toys there dude. I read up on the Behringer Feedback Destroyer quite a while back, and it seems like a great sub eq tool for the price.

Good to hear you found something. Sorry to hear you had to sell.

I use to have a friend, and the only reason he bought gold, was just in-case he had to pawn it for emergency/needed money.
Of course he would wear it for looks, but he would tell you, the main reason is for the money he would get when he pawn it.

He get it back once he pockets got better.

Yeah, I didn't really think of my blu-rays as emergeny cash, but it was handy to have them when I needed the money. I'll probably re-buy a good bit of the ones I sold, but there were a few that I probably won't.

I surely hope you have some family or close friends that can help you out if it gets any worse. It's no fun being broke.

Don't you have some kind of financial air for people out of work in America?

Btw. My monitor is now sold. I was lucky since the guy lived in the same town as me. So no cumbersome packing and sending off. Now i only have my laptop and ht monitors. I'll get an 8K OLED soon anyway.

We don't have a big market for pawn shops in Denmark. At least i've never seen any. Good for you Joe.

I could ask my dad for help, but he would b!tch and complain for about an hour on how I'm a grown man and should be able to provide for myself, then he would loan me the money, but that hour would be way too brutal to deal with for any amount of money. My dad's a great guy, but he's way big on resposibility. I could go ten years without asking for anything, and then ask to borrow $5 for gas to go get a job, and he would still give me a lecture on resposibilty, then loan me the five bucks.

Yes, you can collect unemployment in America if you are laid off from work, but I've never done it before, and don't really know what I would need to do to get it, and I already have a job now, so I wouldn't be eligible for it now anyway. I do have some groceries and even a few bucks in my wallet, so I'm okay, but the next couple of weeks are going to be a little tight.

That's cool that you sold your monitor and don't even have to ship it. I hope you like your new 8K OLED monitor. I'm still using an old CRT monitor that's probably as deep as it is wide, but it has a decent picture quality and gets the job done.

Good afternoon, Frogger.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. But it looks like you're on the rebound and will be hopping again real soon. Plus, you seem to have a positive attitude. That helps a lot. Hang in there, buddy.
