Adam Lambert would be a disgrace. More hot male singers easily getting through. Hopefully Mariah won't be as pressed as j.Lo and jealous of all the pretty females and hating on them constantly.

Here's how I'm going to look at next season:

I will start the season knowing a white guy with guitar will win for a 6th year in a row. But I will hope to find new talent like Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh, and Jessica Sanchez.

Holly smokes, how did I miss this thread. All this talk about my boy Dre. I personally know him, and he is a great guy. he represented San Jose proudly.

I had the blessing of going to the concert, as they came through town (Shark Tank Arena). Almost everyone was great. Holley looked and sounded like the stage was her home. Unfortunately, Philip Philips was awful, live. He came out and did 5 performances, and I about walked out. The background singers saved him every time.

I personally think Jessica should have won the show.
Speaking of Jess, that girl is so sweet. To bad Jimmy is running her back & forth from LA during the tour. Yes, she signed with Jimmy.

If you don't already know, Jess & Dre are a couple.

BTW, the crap that was pulled by American Idol on Jessica Sanchez was disgraceful. Using her as pawn to increase ratings with drama. No way did that girl ever get the lowest votes. She sang her heart out!!! If the save ever needed to be used fairly before the top 5, Dre deserved to stay. The Judges bashing Holleypop was not cool either. That just made her more nervous going into each performance.

Two of my favorite finalists this past season. I hope they'll record a song together. Looking forward to Jessica's album! Also, looking forward to her guest appearance on Glee next season.

U guys still dwelling on last year? Its over! Time to move on and get ready for next season. Phillip Phillips won and dude will be a beast soon. His song "Home" has been playing all over the olympics and is actually the olympics theme song which is huge! Dont hate! Got Em!!

Philip Philips was terrible. Just because he won the "reality show", doesn't make him the "beast". I will add, no doubt the boy can play the Guitar, but vocally, he can't sing as good as the last 4 Idols. Hollie & Jessica both smashed him down vocally. My opinion is this, America got it wrong for the 4th straight year. I'm not saying Philip doesn't have talent, just that there where better singers.

Dude u yapping to the wrong person. I am a big Phillip Phillips fan and Ive heard him sing live time and time again on Idol and he sounds great to me. Maybe he had a bad day on the tour u saw I dont know. Regardless sounds like u just arent a fan of his which is fine but I am so we will not see eye to eye regarding Phillip. Every male winner since Jordin Sparks was the last female winner has had their initial single reach the top 50 or better on Billboard's Hot 100. However, none of them have that same success once their album and follow up singles are released.

The singer-rapper could be joining the ranks of "American Idol" judges.

A person close to Minaj said the 29-year-old entertainer has been in talks to judge the FOX TV competition and that a deal is in the works. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because that person was not authorized to publicly discuss the matter.

If Minaj signs on, she would join Mariah Carey as a new judge on "Idol," which returns in January. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez announced their exits from the show last month.

Minaj, known for her colorful hairstyles, wardrobe and antics, is best known for her hits "Super Bass" and "Starships."

The show has more than stayed its welcome and achieved multiple levels of greatness through out its run. If they want to keep it going for another several years, they need to start doing things like this.

Agreed. I think getting Carey-Cannon (haha) & Minaj is huge for the show! I wonder if they will still bring in another male judge or just roll with two chicks and Randy? Got Em!!

Don't think I've ever heard a Nicki Minaj song (I don't listen to that type of music to start with) but atleast I've heard the name so that's good, right? haha

As for Randy, I heard he was stepping down from the Judge's table to a Mentor type position. Which if true, is a very bad idea. Throwing all three new judges in there without someone who has had the experience of how things are run could be a disaster.

As headlines suggested that Minaj's "Idol" recruitment was a done deal, Carey, who signed on as a judge for the singing competition in July, offered her own candidate for the spot: Lenny Kravitz.

Carey took to Twitter on Monday to post a picture of herself and "Let Love Rule" singer Kravitz with the plea, "@AmericanIdol What's going on? need the info!! What about this combo? : ) if we could ever get him to do it!"

Carey joined the series following the departure of judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. As TheWrap reported previously, Carey will rake in $17 million to judge the show -- the same amount that Lopez was seeking before parting ways with the show. The $17 million payday will make Carey the highest-paid judge on a singing competition, an insider told TheWrap.

So far, FOX, which airs "Idol," has remained mum on the reports of Minaj joining "Idol," and it remains to be seen if Lenny Kravitz is gonna go Carey's way. A spokeswoman for Kravitz has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment.

Earlier this month, Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers confirmed reports that he's in the running for a judge spot.

"The rumors are true," Jonas said via Twitter. "I am being considered to be a judge on 'American Idol,' and it would be a dream come true if it happens."
