Anybody got an idea of what it could be? I don't see a Digibook for this one? Maybe a Steelcase?

Looks like the list price for exclusive is lower than the regular version (w/ DVD). I guess the exclusive is a single disc (movie only)?

That's weird the Mary J Blidge character is on the cover and not the other teen lead of the movie that also wants to be a Rocker.

I think alot of the time don't they have different covers for blu ray. I'm thinking this might also be the cover for the movie only edition and the combo pack will have a different cover similar to the posters and soundtrack cover.

Plus I think the monkey also had more screen time then Mary J.

I wouldn't mind a collage-type / fading cover, like they had in the movie, such as when they were singing "More Than Words / Heaven" and it kept cutting back and forth between Drew and Sherrie.

I'm just going to assume that there will be the DVD release with the Theatrical version of the film, and then the Blu-Ray / DVD combo pack with the Extended Cut of the film.

I wonder how much longer the extended cut will be over the theatrical. All I know of that was cut was "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and the trailer scene with Stacee signing the fan's boob. Either way, I'm definitely buying. The glittery purple case is a nice touch, even if I'm sure there will be some who'll protest.

The price probably will probably go down a bit. Warner dispatched the press release last night, so perhaps Amazon just pulled the list price without the discount they usually give. Unless they charge more for this purple case...

Warner's is desperately trying to make back some of the film's budget back through the home video release, since it pretty much undersold during it's theatrical run.

They can try all they want, but it won't sell unless it's priced more in line with Normal release prices.

UNDER $24.99 is a good place to Start.
