-Cardboard-Sleeves(for instance the New Bond-set)
-Box-size inconsistency(for instance LOST season 1-5 being fatter, while season 6 being thinner)
-Rating-markers on the spine and front, isn't one on the back enough.
-cardboard digipacks.

I'm not the biggest fan of slipcovers; in fact, all of mine are flattened in a small box, so I can either sell or trade them later. I also don't like fold-out digipacks, because there's no real point outside of marketing. Even the outer boxes for the "Harry Potter" ultimate editions are clunky. I know they needed the room for the books and cards, but it could've been made a little smaller.

THIS. I love the people who refuse to buy a certain title just because of the packaging. Life is too short.. just enjoy the film!

i like steelbooks/iron packs/metal packs/metal boxes so those don't bother me.....except when (as was posted earlier) they release movies in the same series in different types of packaging (yeah, we're lookin' at you matrix trilogy.....wth is up with that crap?).

and i'm a fan of digibooks as well, no complaints there.

eco-cases.....these are another story.
yeah, we get it. so you're trying to save the world by using less plastic.....blah, blah, blah.
how 'bout you give me a complete and solid case and leave the tough stuff to someone else.

and i think ALL standard blu-rays should come in cases that are identical to criterion cases (clear and the same dimensions) and criterion should switch to black cases (a la the lotr trilogy) with the same dimensions as they are now.
that would definitely help with uniformity, at least as far as those without slipcases are concerned, and criterion could stand out with different colored cases as they are now.

and no more of this g1-sized steelbook crap (lookin' at you jurassic park and safe house). keep it g2 sized or just stick with a regular bd case.

I really don't get people who don't care about nice design, slipcovers and special packaging but do complain about them. It's so easy for you guys; buy a couple of those nylon disc wallets which hold up to 100 discs or whatever mass storage system and throw away (or rather give away) all your original packaging. Saves LOTS of space and preserves all audio and video quality.

I'm talking about people who complain about nice looking digipacks and special editions because they don't come in a regular case so they mess up their collection. There's nothing easier than taking out the disc and putting it in a standard case.

The Back to the Future case and disk placement is downright horrable. I fear snaping a disk every time i take a movie oit of it

An array of things irritate me and most if not all have been mentioned already. But lately Ive just been fed up with "Complete Collection" box sets released to cash in on a sequel. pisses me off.

[QUOTE=leburn98;6396088]There are a few things that Studios do that steers me on the side of madness (ok maybe a bit dramatic), but these are the things that truly piss me off (note: these can include disc, case, special edition packaging etc.):

1. When a movie franchise is inconsistent with packaging design
This is the biggest one. I purchased the Fast and the Furious collection (1-4). All have a nicely numbered spine and are consistent in design. Then Fast Five comes out on Blu and the numbered spine and front cover layout is different, therefore lacks any consistency with the previous installments.

Yeah, I'm big on this one. I love my Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 1 Digibook, and I H-A-T-E that Volume 2 is probably not going to be a digibook.

The same goes for ratings printed on the cover.
My theatrical versions of the Lord of the Rings are like this. ROTK is okay, but FOTR and TTT have the ugly blue Como pack banner. Drives me nuts.

As far as I'm concerned, the combo pack announcment should just be a removable sticker.

It has been confirmed to be a digibook.

Anything that is not released in a standard Blu-Ray case. I also hate ECO cases and Vortex cases that have latches on the sides but at least I can swap these out with regular Viva Elite cases. I can also toss out the slipcovers that I couldn't care less about. I guess that leaves just the digibooks, digipaks and such.

At least we don't have snapper cases like we did for DVDs. Those were a pain. The good thing about Blu-Ray is that more than 95% of the releases use the same kind of packaging.

The absolute worst packaging I've ever seen is for The Omen Collection. It is made of really cheap thin cardboard and the discs are held by flimsy rubber tips instead of plastic ones.

Plus there's that great looking theft protection sticker again right in the middle of the digipack. Least they could've done was put it on straight.
