If it's a Best Buy exclusive like people seem to think, then don't you think there is a pretty good chance there would be some release week pricing that might satisfy us all?

Also, the bonus disc in the UK set won't play on my TV here in the States. It's region-locked and formatted for PAL. As far as I'm concerned, that's not the same as what I'd get in a proper U.S. release. Last edited by benricci; 09-06-2012 at 06:23 PM. |

considering you could get the first three movies for about $10 all together during upgrade and save, and that each release goes in the 7.99-9.99 range during normal sales... $8 x 4 releases = $32. $5 U&S x 4 releases = $20. those are fair numbers based on what we've seen for the previous releases, and considering a lot of us have the first three films already, I think $30 is a fair price. anything over $35 and I won't bite. i'd just be happy with two double packs and getting them for $5 each on an U&S, but no one know if that will happen

I think we are all a little spoiled with pricing. The DVD set was never less than $90 for the longest time. Now, years later and after a little bit I inflation, we are complaining about $30 less for better picture quality? And aren't most, if not all, of the special features from the DVD set on the bluray set? Who cares about TWO episodes of a show no one watched? I just want the movies and I'm not gonna gripe about $60 max retail price for seven movies when a lot of us pay $15-25 for ONE movie. Buy it or don't, it's not the end of the world.

I'd also prefer a Friday the 13th box set. Wrong thread.
I'm someone who paid that $89 for the DVD box set of Elm Street movies back in '99. I won't be buying again because, I, after watching them again... realize that I haven't liked an Elm Street sequel at all since about 1992. Part 4 was the last I liked at all many eons ago. But, $44 didn't seem like the end of the world to me on this set. I'll be out on this though because of my feelings towards the sequels now. Why the Friday the 13th talk... Just incase Paramount is listening. Not looking for any of that New Line nonsense. Looking for the Paramount movies to be released as I would buy them. Still like the series - various - to this day.
