I think it's too close to expect it in April seeing as how para just moved back. But hopefully we WILL get it now

I've read somewhere that since paramount, unlike universal, has already supported blurays in the past, it's transition will be a lot quicker then universal. thus, we might end up get sweeney todd on blu ray this april hopefully.

That is true in part. When they stabbed the BDA in the back in August, they did so very quickly and had a few titles already pressed onto discs. Transformers has been authored for Blu-ray, if Bill Hunt at The Digital Bits is to be believed, and I would believe him. So that title just needs to be pressed onto discs.

A movie like Sweeney Todd, however, has not been mastered for Blu-ray, and therefore this will need to happen first. I do not think they will be able to go through the entire production process to get it out day and date w/ the DVD and HD DVD.

I guess "transformer" will not be released on blu-ray untill HD DVD players are totally out of market(arround the end of may) and "transformer" HD DVD version is sold out of the stock. Probably blu-ray version "transformer" will be released after May. You'd better believe me, it will not be released before this day. But I believe it will have more supplementary material and better picture and sound quality (maybe it'll be extended version) when it is released on blu-ray. That's awesome!!
