Yeah, but that had no extras on the previous DVD. The Ed Wood DVD was fairly loaded. I'm pretty sure they will be carried over.

I enjoyed this film and had it on DVD...sold it years ago. Won't be rebuying it on Blu-ray, but glad it's coming out for those who have been waiting for its HD debut. Yeah, as has already been mentioned in the thread, the film is not a documentary, and there was definitely some creative license taken...

ALL biographies use 'creative license'. As I was told by an assistant director on set...'who the hell wants the truth'? lol

For those that might have missed it, great article by Robert Siegel about Ed Wood, on the front page!

Agreed, September will be an expensive month. This, along with Route Irish and Indy is just the start!

Highly likely, yes. It is available to pre-order for in-store pickup, which is usually a good sign.

I'm keeping my pre-order with Amazon since it was in my Gold Box at one point.

Yep, most BBs will have it. The store I was working in today (I'm with Anderson) just received 11 copies.

Disney's Blu-ray offers no surprises, but the feature presentation is a delight and the recycled DVD extras are terrific company to the film. While it's too bad that none of Wood's public domain works (or even just their trailers) are deemed worthy of inclusion, but that isn't enough to stand in the way of a hearty recommendation of this reasonably-priced disc.

Detail escalates and there is some textured grain visible. There are frequent instances of depth and no noise or gloss. Howard Shore's score sounds great via a DTS-HD Master 5.1 at a healthy 3700 kbps. The high-end is crisp and depth is apparent. Separations punch to the rear speakers. In short the transfer looks and sounds wonderful!

Supplements duplicate the previous DVDs with the commentary and 50+ minutes of video extras. There are optional English subtitles.

I love this film every time I see it - as well as being brilliantly conceived and expertly researched - the performers genuinely seem to be having a lot of fun. This is an easy Blu-ray to strongly recommend! Enjoy!

.....I am looking forward to getting my copy of this gem.

I posted this screenshot from my copy of Ed Wood from my Amazon Gold Box in my 'Ed Wood @ Best Buy for $12.99' thread in the Movie and TV Deals forum and I was just looking at it and what the heck is the "normal 0 false false false EN-US..." all about?
