I was considering buying Rambo First Blood on Blu-ray but after reading reviews about the transfer not being so great and the fact that it's an old film anyway and not really high quality as the new films are, I'm wondering if I should buy the trilogy on DVD which is cheaper than the single film on Blu.

Do you think that they will release the set on Blu after the release of Rambo 4?

Mike,

I own First Blood, and while it might not be a movie you want to use to show off your Blu-ray player, the film still looks great, especially for its age. Im probably done buying DVDs, and will start working on replacing the movies I have on DVD, for its Blu-ray counterpart.
