Sounds like they communicated it very well since it sold out in 8 days even with a limit 2 per customer for the last 400 copies. This thread has been up for God knows how long and even the news page from when this was first announced made it perfectly clear that you have to order this title from http://www.screenarchives.com Sorry you missed out man. Also, Blu-ray.com doesn't sell movies so you never order movies from here.

All of the information you needed was announced back in June when Blu-ray.com first made the announcement. Clicking on the news tab from the Night of the Living Dead 1990 page would also have shown you this information.

Some of the Amazon after market sellers I know have said the same thing rdodolak, so I believe you're right.

In this case though, it's still a moot point, because there's nothing left for SAE to sell anyway.

I'd sell mine for half that... then buy another one off e-bay!

You can't take the blu-ray with you either.

Do they send out allot of annoying e-mails? I was interested in signing up for their e-mails, but I get so many as it is. I wouldn't mind if it was just good notices.

I only signed up for them a week or so before the night of the living dead pre-order on sale date and so far the only email I've gotten is the one announcing it and Enemy Mine.

They've sent out 5 (so far) in Sept, 9 in Aug, and 6 in Jul.

Doesn't sound too bad. I think that's worth it to be kept in the know when a title is below 500 copies or a pre-order is coming up. Thanks, guys.

I'd sell mine for a million! Then I'd take $180-250 of that and buy another copy off ebay.

Edit:

SpartanIre beat me to the response.

Why didn't you just sign up at SAE? They would have notified you. I'm on the mailing list and get all the updates from them directly.

Blu-ray.com can open the door and let you know about what's coming but you have to be the one to follow through and secure copies at the retailers.

Well I found out about this release by sure luck. I have all of my zombie flicks on blu except this so I started search google and found this website.

I just checked everyday for two weeks, and finally ordered my copy, plus 4 more to sell . I know im a deuchebag, but a brother has to make some money in this world. If anyone is interested keep an eye out. I will be posting 2 on ebay around halloween time with 1 copy each of Walking Dead #100 SDCC variant starting at a penny thats right $0.01 with no reserve!! Hell I may very well lose all my investment, but then again I do it more 4 fun than $$

2 more 2 weeks before Xmas. david_of_tampa

I intend on keeping the DVD as well for the features.

How is the "Zombi" blu-ray transfer??? I liked the movie for how sickening the zombies appeared. The review gives me some anticipation to purchase, dontknow what kind of features though?

And I dont believe Walking Dead season2 ripped off NOTLD, they paid homage to it. Robert Kirkman has stated many times that NOTLD and Romero are like his biggest influence for the comic, that why they are published in B&W. I find it to be an honorable and pleasant throwback personally.

Edit to add: does anyone else think the female zombie TT used for the cover looks similar to the bicycle zombie Rick finds in the park in the pilot episode??? I would have preferred using a shot of the female lead during a zombie encounter, perhaps something from the cemetary. Would have evoked more emotion IMO.

For whatever reason, I also signed up several times and have never gotten an email, except when I order something. Actually after the first signup, it just keeps telling me I am already signed up.

They should really limit the amount a person can purchase on these films, they shouldn't be allowed to buy 50 at one time as people miss out who actually like the film and want to watch it, not sell it a week later on eBay for twice the price maybe three times as much, if anyone accidentally ordered this or doesn't want there copy anymore and is going to charge a normal price not some ridiculous price i will buy it off them.

Ridiculous. You shouldn't even be allowed to post crap like this. If you want to sell extra copies on ebay, fine. You shouldn't be allowed to come here fishing for buyers.

You also contradict yourself. Do you do it to make money or do you do it for fun? That's rhetorical, I truly don't give a damn.

+1

The person knew it was coming, yet didn't keep the pre-order date in mind? Sounds more like it was their own fault.

And I will second the outcry against customer fishing in here. Hell, one moron was actually blatantly trying to sell copies of Fright Night in this thread. THIS ISN'T A PLACE TO SELL YOUR CRAP PEOPLE! There is a section of the forum dedicated to that kind of thing!

As soon as I heard about the pre-order date i set up a calendar event in my phone for the minute the NOTLD Blu-ray went on sale. I suggest anyone who is interested in Christine do the same for that Blu-ray as well.

Same here. I honestly don't remember if I even receive an email confirmation after placing an order (but I think I do), but I definitely have never received an email from SAE/TT informing me of pre-sale dates or alerts telling me the 500 mark has been reached.

I sent an email to SAE through the "Contact Us" link on their website looking for answers, but haven't received a response yet. I'll try to remember to post a response if I receive one.
