Of the following, which 3 would you most recommend, if any? If none, please say so!

- Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
- The Secret of the Grain
- Everlasting Moments
- Hunger
- Secret Sunshine
- The Moment of Truth
- The Organizer

These three get a big shout-out from me:

Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
The Secret of the Grain
The Moment of Truth

Honorable mentions (still good, but not in my top three from your list)

Everlasting Moments
Secret Sunshine

Paths of Glory is essential, but Kubrick is my favorite director.

I cannot recommend Paris, Texas enough however. It is superb. Such a beautiful, devastating film.

I have. It's definitely different looking, but I kind of like it. Is it soft in places? Yes. There is a disclaimer that it was shot soft, and that some parts were unsalvageable in the restoration. I don't think it's as bad as Pro-B made it out to be.

Excellent picks.

After you watch Secret Sunshine you should look into Kino's Poetry - also by Lee. Terrific films.

Absolutely. It's my favorite film released by Criterion.

I just placed my order for Eating Raoul, Le Havre and The Moment of Truth. Wasn't too confident about The Moment of Truth, but it interested me.

I said it earlier. I wasn't super excited about The Moment Of Truth, but it has been one of my favorite new discoveries this year. I think you'll enjoy it.
