Well, if it's any consolation, I'll have a few adult beverages for you this weekend.
Evenin' Wabo. It's coming up on 1:30 in the morning here.

I do have a couple left in the fridge, but not enough for a full blown satisfying buzz. Knowing me, I'll pick up a couple more on Friday and deal with the consequences later.

I've read that several people were disappointed with the LFE on it, but I thought it was plenty ballsy. It might not have that earthquake-like super-low output of like War of the Worlds, but I thought it was pretty great.

I haven't even gone to bed yet, and you're talking about work?

Is that your pajamas?

Does it have a flap in the back in case you need to take a "bantha poodoo"?

No it comes with a small cotton sack you have too take out and wash by hand after each "number 2".

I just finished watching it, and I honestly think that it was just about the most enjoyment I've ever gotten out of my HT room. I saw it at the theater and really enjoyed it, but this time around it was even better, and I picked up on a few little things I didn't notice at the theater. It just has so many things going for it. It has great action, lots of laugh out loud humor, a great cast, and insane special effects. I'm sure it won't win the best picture Oscar, but I found it to be incredibly entertaining.

In my opinion, the picture quality is absolutely flawless. There was just so much detail and depth to the image, and it was very natural and colorful for the most part, but there was just a hint of that teal look that almost all movies seem to have these days, but not to an obnoxious level at all. I did notice that the very beginning of the movie was a little darker, as pointed out in the review on here, but it seemed to me that it was deliberate and appropriate for the scenes.

As far as the audio, dialog was always crystal clear, it had a very full and balanced front soundstage, and it had some very nice ambient and discrete surround sound effects, and I actually turned my subs down a couple of notches, which I never do. I know some people have said that it doesn't have much ULF information, but it has loads of sound in the low end of the audible frequency range. If I had any complaint at all, I think the surround speakers could've been mixed just a tiny bit hotter for my tastes, but what was there sounded just perfect, if just a little subdued.

Overall I really couldn't be happier with this BD, and for now, it's my new favorite go to disc for A/V quality and just a really fun entertaining movie.
Nice review sir. Looks like my first opportunity to watch this will be this weekend. I just have to many other things going on during the week.

Thanks. Did you see it at the theater, or will this weekend be the first time?

I almost never go either. I saw The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and this December I will go see The Hobbit. Three times this year.

Enjoy your big weekend, and I hope you enjoy The Avengers. Your boy Travis is the only person I've heard from at all that didn't think it was a great movie.

Travis usually does not know what he is talking about anyways. He's thinking of buying the Police Academy movies. But I still like the good old boy. He's entertaining to say the least.

Me too Froggie, I don't go much unless the movies warrant it. Same three movies for me this year also.

I really kind of hate going to the theater. People kicking my seat, texting, talking, kids screaming, it's a real endurance challenge sometimes. I prefer to watch movies at home. I can pause it if I need to go pee or get a snack, snacks are much cheaper too, nobody bothers me, and I can drink beer if I want to.

It takes something really special to get me into a movie theater. I thought TDKR and The Avengers were both great, and I've been reading The Hobbit/LotR since I was about 12 years old.

If anything has a chance to overtake The Avengers in box office sales, it would be The Hobbit especially since they were able to have Peter Jackson finish what he started.

I really like Guillermo Del Toro. Hellboy I & II are some of my favorites, but I was really happy when I heard that Peter Jackson was returning to helm these films. I am more excited about these Hobbit films than any other films period. I want to see them so bad, I can't stand it!

I like Del Toro too and I'm a fan of both Hellboys. But having Jackson helm The Hobbit is the right call.
