I would like anyones input on buying i have never seen the movie, if you did see it let me know what you thought i love movies about cars

i watched the dvd version and in my opinion its as good as the anime and I am going to double-dip on this one for sure

its great especially since its a live action anime. Also its way better than that knock off Tokyo Drift, plus for $20, its a great deal.

Tokyo Drift got to be one of the worst movie I have seen. The main actor was so boring and amateur. I haven't seen the live-action of Initial D so i'll be picking it up. The anime was awesome.

BUY IT!!

It's an awesome drift car movie full stop, plenty of nice car sequences, i can only imagine how much more flashy they could have made it with a big budget but kudos for what they did do & definitely a true respresentation of what the anime was like from what i read all over

Pure car drift movie, thats all there is to it

I saw it last week at Frys but the cashier won't let me buy it cuz the system won't scan the barcode.

I remember the price is $22.99 and release date is February 26.

on amazon its $19.99 last time i checked

Is the US release the same as the HK release?

Yesasia lists the following as extras on the HK release

No, HK was released earlier and so goes to Japan.

I liked it, and would recommend. A lot of cool race scenes. SHould be good as well for reference material (assuming they get it right)

Got my copy of the U.S. disc today, very good AVC encoding and a barnstorming Cantonese PCM track. There's and English 5.1 dub for those inclined to do so. All the ectras are subbed in English, but the only HD extras are 3 trailers, all encoded in AVC.

Hey, the disc's a steal and I like the movie. I'd recommend this to anyone that likes racing movies. Good job, Tai Seng!
