Default Sony doesn't respect the European customers

I have seen the european PS3 in Kotsovolos(Greece)....(Dixons for the UK) and it is made in China...........always the US customers take the better and cheaper and the European customers the more expensive and with worse materials......

Only Japanese PS3s are made in Japan these days, all the rest are made in the China plants. Though a lot of the components will be made in Japan and shipped to China for assembly.

I don't think that's true. I believe consoles for the US received units made in both Japan and China.

PS3 are assembled by Sony (Japan) and partners such as ASUSTek and Foxconn (China/Taiwan), with Sony overseeing production at the various sites.

Why the hell would it matter where it is made? My US PS3 was made in China and it is certainly not crap. Its the same damn hardware.

In fact I rather it be made in China than in Japan because China is known as the number 1 consumer electronics manufacturer in the world.

Isn't custom duty EU requires on many stuff raising the price? Now EU is about to start collecting tariff from digital camera products too...
