Well now that it is over how close to next week's release of Beowulf on standard DVD will we see it on BD? The UK is getting it next month.

Hopefully soon. I held off on the HD DVD release, so I dont have to rebuy it on BD.

I am sure it will be one of the first titles released on BD from Paramount, but it won't be out next week or probably even by the time the UK version is released. I am not going to cancel my order from Amazon UK since it will probably still be a while coming to the US.

I'm still trying to un-see Beowulf. I must be in the very small minority that didn't like the film. Curiously though, are they going to do a 3D version release? Can they?

No. I read somewhere that the 3D method they used can't be replicated via the home theater.

I have it pre-ordered too but I won't cancel it just yet since they don't charge you until it is shipped. I'll wait to see if Paramount anounces it and if it close to the UK release, then I will cancel.

No, but when the commercial came on announcing Beowulf, they only announced it was coming out on DVD. No HD or Blu mentioned.

It is going to be released in the UK by Warner on 3/11. I was planning on importing the movie, but I decided to wait for Paramount to announce a US release.
