Just going off of what I have read and heard from other owners. I only have a 40 and a 60 and am happy with both. Thanks for the comments though.

After spending some time with it now - mostly Folding@Home and movies - I've found the 80GB to be as quite from a fan perspective as the 40GB - which is not what I expected to be honest. Got our 80GB just before xmas so not sure if it also received the 65nm reduction or not but it seems like it to me.
