Christian Bale is like the 5th person to play John Connor.

So Terminator 4 is actually the beginning of a new 3 part trilogy and everything takes place in the future. Nice.

Its a shame the first 3 didn't stop the war, kinda makes them obsolete and stupid. Especially since they redone the same movie 3 times over instead of doing something original.

If the 4th movie has a terminator come back in time, I ain't watching it.

Not another one! When will it just end... Series should have stopped after the second one. It all was wrapped up nicely. Now to make some extra money they are killing a classic series. That tv show is an abomination of humanity.

The second movie did end the franchise for a long time. Then this new company picked up the right to the franchise in order to make T3 and the new TV show. James Cameron has nothing to do with these new sequels.

Orginally the idea was to continue to make T4 with Arnold, but now that is no longer possible and a new story line had to be developed. If T4 does poorly, you know there will not be any more.

The problem was that T3 did well...and so they continue...

Love T2, but technically there was a big loophole in the temporal mechanic concept. The third movie resolved that (in short, you cannot go back in the past to prevent someting which is the thing you are travelling for in the first place - it creates a Paradox. In T2's case, they cannot prevent Skynet to happen, as its existence and the Rise of The Machines is the very reason why Reese travelled back, and also the source of John's very existence).

Now, do we really need a 4th one? Time will tell.
