Try ebay...amazon tends to have sellers who are either slow on the uptake and still charge normal rates or they are complete pirates and charge 6 times even the collector's rate.

Either way, thanks to the miracle of internet sales, there is no longer such a thing as late to the game and your heart's desire is not at all impossible......it is just.......expensive.
Thanks for the welcome and the reply! I'll check out ebay! I know that once I start collecting these, there's going to be no end When I started to collect blu's I never knew how much of an addiction it can really be ha! I started out buying a couple here, a couple there, no big thing! Now I'm over 400 and no sign of slowing down All in all, I'm very much looking forward to starting another collection of replicas to my favorite films! I'm glad there's a thread about this and I'll for sure be a frequent poster

That Hulk statue looks exactly how I looked yesterday while by Broncos had been getting their asses beat by the friggen Patriots yesterday.

Very cool Mandolorian army too and yes you will never get any if you have a chic see that.

But my wife got me the new Lego Tatooine crash set and love the two sandtroopers that it came with.

Not too big a deal but I only needed a couple more sets.

If you really want "ultimate dad" points, the LEGO Darth Malgus ship is $71.00 down from 99 and just so you know, the Darth Malgus figure alone from that set goes for $35.00 on ebay.

The Droid escape is also only 15 right now which is wicked cool because it has the new sand troopers
He is a pure mando/Clone collector though.

Yo LD,

You see they are bringing out TMNT Lego's?

I have to get a Mikey from that. So far looks like only one set with the turtle van, Mikey, Leo and i guess a bunch of bad guys from the new CGI cartoon (which going by some scenes looks pretty good)

hoping more sets will be coming out. I'd love a few 1 or 2 figure small sets like the Avengers. I didn't want all the big vehicles but I grabbed the Cap on a motorcycle one.

Enjoy.

Don't get me started on the Darth Maul following.
Yeah those Legendary Scale statues are quite phenominal! I've got to draw the line somewhere, and that's where I draw it!
As much as I'd love to have one(or few) I can get so much more for the that $2k. Nice to look at though!

In a free market economy, I think "Hey man...what ever makes you smile" but at the end of the day, I need to prioritize and I'll be D A M N E D if I'm going to even spend that kind of money on Darth Maul over Darth Vader.

I'm waaaaaaaay too old school to give Maul the kind of support he gets these days. Vader is a beast...clean and clear. Maul couldn't get the job done and he died like a B!tch. I have a Darth Maul action figure and a 12" figure. I'm all set. As far as the dual light saber....sure...it looked great on camera and it was something we hadn't seen at that time yet but if it were so great he'd be a little taller today

Dude...they even brought him back with robot legs on the cartoon show and he did JACK with them.
Oh no doubt Vader is the #1 seed!
But Maul was a total badass with only a little bit of screen time! I place him #3 right behind General Grievous, and ahead of #4 Boba Fett.

Speaking of TMNT, being the Jeff Gordon fan that I am...I thought it was so cool that during qualifying last night he was driving his DTEH/TMNT car. I really hope Lionel or ARC makes one of them for my collection!!

Haha! I wasn't aware of that. I know I've been collecting JG 1:24 diecasts for about 7 years now. The last 2 years my collection has REALLY grown because I signed up for Lionel's(used to be RCCA) Ultimate Collector program...basically you sign a contract stating you'll buy every Elite diecast for your driver that year. Which was about 50 this year, 45 last year. Sprinkle in some ARC alternate paint scheme cars and it's close to 140 cars in 2 years!
Yeah, so I've now got twelve 21 car angled cases lining my "mancave". I love 'em!
When Jeff Gordon retires in a few years, these cars are only going to climb in value. My boy is going to inherit some pretty cool toys: 300+ diecasts, 60-70 Statues, maybe 1000 BDs. Plus all my comics/spots cards!
I need to start collecting dollar bills! It would be a helluva lot cheaper!!

Edit: I like those Detolf cases! The are much narrower and don't have as big a footprint, and look like they would work well in corners! Thanks for that link!

curse you LD, and your contagious lego sickness.

i got three more blind figure packs from target. got the skier, the conquistador and the cheerleader.

The cheerleader is one of the ones i wanted so thats cool and the others aren't the worst i could have gotten.

but I spent a good while looking over all the sets. I so want some of those ghost figures but they are only in the $80 set. screw that noise. but i'm feeling more and more temptation.

dang it, I don't need more things to collect I'm out of room as it is.
