Definately go HDMI from PS3 to receiver then to TV, you dont need to go to the tv if you have component cables, but if you want 1080p or dvd upscaling/ps1-ps2 game upscaling, you need hdmi. On the PS3, go into audio settings, set to HDMI, automatically set audio options, that will get you hd-audio. In BD-DVD options, set blu-ray audio hdmi to Linear PCM. There is a lot of settings on the receiver to get things to sound right, crossover settings, distance, etc. Just make sure you did the speaker setup correctly with the supplied microphone. Do you know how to adjust the surround sound speakers. I would like to set it up like I had it the first time, but the surround sound speakers were about to blow my ears off. IK know I had to adjust the front speakers down so I can here people talk. There's only limited things you can do when you have it set up unless you know something I don't. If you can help that would be cool.
