Post harman kardon receiver

I plan to buy a new receiver. i wonder about harman kardon...

because I want DTS HD, DD HD and 7.1 ch......

I want to know who experienced with harman kardon AVR 254?

My old home theatre 5.1 panasonic SC-HT900.

- panasonic 4 bookselfs are 60 watts and center speaker 250 watts

- I have two bookselfs old from Energy Connoisseur C-1 100 watts

I don't have enough money for new speaker and subwoofer. that's my budget.

I read spec. the receiver has pre-amp for future upgrade amplifier receiver and new speakers.

I don't have subwoofer but I have it for PC.. Logitech Z-2200 I know that's only headphones connector.

I pull speakers cable disconnect. I want only subwoofer.

Do you think only headphones connector to receiver and why other speaker quite disturbance?

If your BD player is capable of internal decoding & sending out via analog, you could get a second hand HK receiver and hook up everything that way.

Good choice BTW – I went from an Onkyo 605 to an older AVR 230 and am very happy I did!
