Joseph Gordon-Levitt maybe? Or perhaps Jesse Eisenberg as Harry Osborn I don't know I am just grasping at straws here.

Either would be great in a film like this, but Eisenberg is too geeky, and Harry is supposed to be cool. I love JGL though. Not sure if he'd do this. Oh wait, he was in Batman. But that's considered serious business and hardcore top tier filmmaking, not some little kids' comic movie. This is just silly little Web-head we're talking about. *wink, wink*

I can't say I've ever disliked a performance of his that I've seen (although it took me a few viewings to accept his accent in Star Trek), but his casting would seem boring to me. I wouldn't complain about it, but as an actor, he doesn't excite me. I was genuinely ecstatic when I heard the casting of the first, but I don't know. I'm curious to see who they go with for Harry though. Just don't be some CW Abercromie model like Green Arrow, or any of those Twilight kids (although I sort of dig Pattinson in some of his films)...

I can't rightly stand Shia Lebouf myself. I don't think he is a very good actor the films I've seen him in I was not impressed with his performance at all. However, at the time I chose him as likely candidate I was going for looks rather acting experience. Yeah, should have thought of that one through better.

In regards to JGL I have seen a couple movies with him in them including Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. He has come along way since 3rd Rock From the Sun and 10 Things I Hate About You. He is definitely my choice of top actors to want to play him.

As far as Jesse Eisenberg I thought he might be a decent choice just because he was has worked with Andrew Garfield before and they have really good chemistry in The Social Network that could possibly work in TAS2 as well.

Shailene Woodley, who just booked the coveted role of Mary Jane in the Spider-Man sequel, is closing in on a deal to star in Divergent, Summit/Lionsgate’s adaptation of Veronica Roth’s YA novel.

Woodley initially had scheduling issues as an obstacle to the dealmaking, having had offers to play both Mary Jane and the Divergent lead. But the Mary Jane role is proving to be only a very small part in Amazing Spider-Man 2 but blossoms into an integral lead for the planned third movie as the studio seeks to build to the classic "Death of Gwen Stacy" story.

We've done the Osbourne story... let's bring in new villains like Carnage, Mysterio, etc.

So I guess it is confirmed then? That she will be the new Mary Jane Watson?

According to the reports that came out yesterday it is a done deal, it has not been confirmed "officially" yet but that is a formality at this point.

I don't understand all the hate this girl is getting in other forums. She seems pretty enough and is a good actress, maybe not super mega hot but they are going with the teen MJ from the Ultimate and Spectacular Spider-man series, which is pretty and sassy.
Plus the character she played in The Descendants had some of the characteristics that MJ has in the comics. Her casting was completely out of left field to me, but I think she'll do a good job.

I agree. Though she would not have been my first choice for the character that is not to say that she not right for the part. I wasn't sure how Emma Stone would be as Gwen Stacy but her performance was amazing, and I am sure that Shailene can do the same if given the same opportunity.

Would rather not see Joseph Gordon-Levitt in anymore movies right now being he has already been in enough movies this year alone. The only movie he played a good role in was Dark Knight Rises.

Fair enough. Who would you like to see in the role of Harry Osborn? I hear right now that some fans are wanting James Franco's younger brother to be cast in the role.

Hard to say but brown hair dyed or natural is definitely a must for the person who plays the role. Joseph Gordon-Levitt doesn't look like harry osborn at all.

Glad to see a positive report of her acting. I haven't heard or read anything about it. If she is even a decent actress, I imagine she will do well with Webb's direction. In any case, I am sure she will be better than Kirsten Dunst.

I finally sat down yesterday to watch "The Amazing Spiderman" and I've watched that teaser scene at the end of the film and after examining the scene, I don't think that it's Norman Osbourne as I heard the rumor was. I think that it just very well might be "Quentin Beck", the first Mysterio.

But, considering how much of a low-tiered character that Mysterio was, in that Spiderman always defeated him quite easily, I think that Marc Webb might be trying for a more sinister version of the character. The reason why I think it's Mysterio/Quenton Beck is because he mysteriously disappears just as suddenly and mysteriously as he appeared.

I simply cannot think of any other character in the Spiderman-universe that could pull such a feat as that. Unless, of course, this is Dr. Strange, which would be intriguing in itself.

Strange cannot be used by Sony. The rights sit with marvel and they very well intend to use him in there own movies. Not only that but the character at the end of spiderman is too old not to mention is clearly a villain.
