Ok, well, the update is this....they couldn't find anything wrong. pioneer says its probably the HDMI wire, its obviously not, because it works on my Yamaha receiver with no issues at all. So the end result will be for me to return this item to the store. Im a little sad about it, it was a bad experience. I'm probably going to look towards another brand in the future. This piece of equipment seems very faulty with all the stuff I have been reading about brand new units having issues. I realize mine was an open box item and I will keep that in consideration when choosing a receiver in the future, but seriously, they couldn't find anything wrong, but the HDMI input cuts out every 11 minutes and 36 seconds. Only on the pioneer and through my projector only. Sucks because it sounded great when it worked. Its just not worth the headache of having a machine that doesn't work properly and not knowing what is wrong when it just doesnt function properly. If anyone has had a similar issue or ideas please let me know. Thanks.
