One is from the early 80s and is also known as "Nightmare at Shadow Woods". Its about twins, one good and one bad. Its the only "Thanksgiving" slasher I've ever seen!
The 1979 Bloodrage (one word), directed by Joseph Zito, is owned by Blue Underground, and when I asked BU about it last year they said they had no plans.

Sorry if it's been posted, but how long will these Friday announcements last? Was there a definitive cut-off date?

Its much easier to call it after the hint, but I'll take a wild guess and say, I don't know...
"New Year's Evil"? Maybe, maybe not.

I have a feeling this will be announced also. If not this week then soon...so far they've been announcing titles that have been on many people's top want lists and New Year's Evil comes up quite frequently on horror film forums.

As far as I know, there's no definitive cut-off date. I don't who started that rumor, even Cliff said there's still so much left...

The Evictors is very underrated and my favorite of the MGM announcements thus far. Hope it gets a nice BD release. There's a great print on Netflix.
Completely forgot about that one! I love and I mean love The Initiation of Sarah and I'm also hoping it gets a release of any kind.

I've been persistently saying Without Warning or The Horror Show, so I'm going to stick with one of those for Friday.

I don't believe MGM owns either of them.

From what I'm seeing here, MGM owns Brain Damage? That would be nice to have on Blu-Ray!

** EXCLUSIVE KEY ART REVEAL**

Double your "Terror-inside-your-TV" Trouble when we release TERRORVISION (1986) and THE VIDEO DEAD (1987) as a double feature next February! This will also officially mark the first time both films have either been on DVD or Blu-ray.

Stay tuned in the next couple of months for a list of extras (which are in progress), the official street date and pre-order links. :-)

As far as I know, Synapse has the rights.

Hmmm...I'm assuming the extras will be minimal then? File-size wise, here's how the other discs stack up (I couldn't find file size info for the Halloweens):

Funhouse (1:35:13) - Feature is 26.984, Extras 9.691
Terror Train (1:36:50) - Feature is 25.576, Extras 11.986

Both TerrorVision and Video Dead are shorter films, however: 83 and 90 minutes, respectively.

Great artwork, never saw either of these so it's a blind buy for me!

I actually don't mind having them together, in a sense they're a bit related by the whole television theme. I just hope we don't get compression issues or lack of special features.

I'm sure we'll get special features but maybe not as stacked as the Collector's Editions. I know Ted Nicolaou (director of "TerrorVision") has already expressed that he'd record a commentary for the release which hopefully will come to fruition now. Perhaps, a commentary on "The Video Dead" and some trailers and TV spots as well. Anything more would be a nice surprise though.

Considering these only run about 85 minutes a piece, there should be no worries about compression issues. Blu-ray can accommodate several hours of HD video (and audio) with room to spare for extras.

+1

really excited! I wonder what sort of pricing we'll be looking at? That'd be great if it was the same as the other releases have been

Also, just got Terror Train and The Funhouse in from DVD Empire! Can't wait to give these a viewing

This does sound like a pretty cool double feature. Honestly, I'll be happy as long as both films are presented in HD without compression issues and I'm not to worried about that.
