Interesting. I think he did just that with the prequels.

So bittersweet. We finally get Episode 7, but man they waited too damn long. Most SW fans I know always wanted to see the next adventures of Luke & co.

The original cast is getting old, but I'll take them any way we can get them. I don't get how people are saying they should just cameo at the most. The original gang should be supporting characters at least.

Lol Funny. It's like it's a perfectly choreographed movie fight, like in pretty much every other movie ever made, that has fighting in it.

The Force Unleashed 1 has a better story than the pretty poor one from TFU II.
Everyone in that game has much stronger Force powers than depicted in the movie, not just Starkiller.
[Show spoiler] And Starkiller did get his ass kicked by the Emperor in both endings

Exactly. Personally I think the Lucas bashers are much more entertaining. Some of them have been stomping their feet for over a decade now. High entertainment!

Funny stuff - but I actually enjoyed this scene and fight sequence. Its no different than any other film where the wrong moves happen during a fight to allow the fight and plot to carry on. Nothing new here.

Has Harrison Ford ever given a reason for why he seems to hate Star Wars so much? It's the role that really made him famous. I don't get why he's so negative about it. I'm glad to hear rumors that he's open to appearing in the new trilogy (probably only if Han dies) but I've always wondered why he has no problem with Indy, but seems to really dislike Han Solo.

I think he's on record as saying that he didn't care for sci fi much, despite doing two big sci fi films (Star Wars & Bladerunner).

I think Harrison thought it was crap gobbledygook. Decades later he said he didn't understand it, and still didn't. He's mystified by why people like something he thinks is tripe, and is beneath him. Accordingly, he's embarassed by it, and doesn't want to be associated with it (no convention appearances, etc.)

Alec Guiness had similar feelings.

Do NOT believe for a minute that Disney won't run this into the ground & milk it for every last penny they can squeeze out of it. Because I guarantee they will!!! That said BRING ON MORE STAR WARS

He also doesn't care for Blade Runner either and states that he doesn't get why people like it and how miserable it was to shoot. Since it is the greatest film of all time he is clearly just a cranky old man.

Sometimes the movie that "makes you" can also be a gigantic road block in an actor's career.

For comparsions sake, I liken it to Leonardo DiCaprio's resentment of Titanic. It got him fame, but it also got him typecast as a pretty boy who no one saw as a "serious" actor.

This got me thinking, if Disney is truly aiming at a 2015 release date then they had better be getting the ball rolling quickly! If a script has not even been written yet, let alone a director and cast chosen, this is all going to take quite a while. Then you have location selection, set construction, filming, post production, etc. It seems to me that a 2015 target date would really be pushing it at this point wouldn't it?
