Default How many think there will be a "No Country For Old Men" part two?

Just saw the movie at the theatre and loved it, but the ending left a lot of possibilities for a sequel. I'm hoping they will make a part II. Anyone agree?

I haven't seen it as yet waiting to get it on Bd but the Cohen brothers aren't the types to revisit there old stomping grounds.

There is no second novel so, no, there will not be a sequel (and it certainly doesn't need one in my opinion).

Although it is left open for a sequel, I hope not.

Look at what happened w/The Matrix!

I'm not saying NCFOM sequels would be as bad as The Matrix sequels, I just hope it doesn't happen.

There are just so many possibilities for a second story(killing spree), and it really bummed me out that the killer got away. I think it would be great if the sherriff(Tommy Lee Jones), came out of retirement and got him with his own air-pressure gun.

I guess I just like more of a solid ending to my movies.

Good thing I've pre-ordered it, and waited this long to see it..... Now I don't have to be on the edge of my seat wondering if the bad-guy gets away...... and if an "air-Pressure Gun" plays any relevent role....

I've said it all before though.... if a movie is good, it doesn't have to "surprise me" Look at The Shining.... I read the book twice before I saw the movie (and Stephen King Novels-to-movies usually suck) and that movie is an ALL TIME GREAT.

In part two our hero *scratch that* villain Anton Chigurh gets a haircut and gets a hold new lease on life. He donates all his Mexican hit man money to an orphanage and becomes a baseball star playing for the New York Yankees. Unfortunately, Anton had to return to his old ways as his hair grew out and was accused of steroid abuse. It was an ugly ending but there is room for a part 3. After all no series is complete without the trilogy affect.

Sorry Beta Man, I thought I was the only guy that had not seen it yet(until a couple days ago).

Don't worry though, there's lots of surprises left.

I think that it was left open to take in all different directions but sadly, I think its going to be a no.

Honestly, If they have a sequel, I would see it. If they never made one, I would be perfectly content. It stands on its own 2 feet very well. It doesnt need a continuation. IMO

It was a blind buy for me (very rare for me) and I'm expecting to enjoy it greatly... it looks like my kind of movie!!!! Someone told me what Big Lebowski was about when it came out (or tried to) I was like "that sounds like the dumbest movie I've ever heard of" man.... I like that movie more every time I see it!!!! it just keeps getting better!

the coen brothers are true directors, not power hungry, sequel wanting film makers.

I hope not! I like to see films that were meant to be one film stay that way.

Not a snowball's chance in hell of a sequel.

But hopefully the Coens will make another good one soon and go on a roll like they had in the '90s. The overall quality of films is getting better over the past few years, and I don't just mean the picture and sound quality. It's great to have the Coen bros back in top form.

There will not be a sequel. End of story.

Think about the film a little more and you will realize why.

All questions were answered.

No. The story needs to end the way that it was ended.

I had plenty of others in the theatres go "That was the end? WTF?". They just don't know a good story.

I remember reading that No Country For Old Men will never get a sequel, no matter how much people want it.
