The Dark Knight Rises - Which version are you going to get?

I'm getting the Best Buy steelbook to match my other two steelbooks. That's it. I don't need to buy seven different editions of the same movie, lol. Not worth it. It's the same movie just different packaging. I think you should pick the one you like best and call it a day.

^ Yeah I hear you, one version will suffice for most people. I know for sure that the Cowl edition will have great resell value, and who knows maybe I'll use the Digibook for bargaining chips in the future. Either way I'm freaking stoked, Tuesday can't come fast enough.

Do you have to go to Best Buy and make a pre-order deposit and pick up the steelbook case in advance like you did for avengers, then go back on the 4th and pick up the regular release and switch the discs into the steelbook?

That's what I decided to do. I'm just getting the BB steel book. I was going to get the UK trilogy set because it looks really nice, but since the UCE is coming out next year, it'd be a bit excessive to buy 3 versions. I'm running out of shelf space as it is. I'll stick with my individual editions for now and get the UCE next year. If the UCE includes ALL of the extras from the individual editions, I'll get rid of those and just have the UCE.

Best Buy's pages for Steelbooks usually don't. it's 100% the Steelbook though as it:

-Has the Steelbook's artwork, which is different from the standard edition
-Says it's a BB exclusive
-Says that it includes the 35 Min Reborn doc, which is exclusive to the Steelbook release (and DK trilogy set)

Plus when you click on the Dark Knight Reborn offer page it does mention that you get it with the purcahse of the Steelbook and they link to that page:

Will the Dark Knight Reborn doc from the Steelbook be viewable directly form the blu ray, or do you have to stream online to see it? I am almost certain it is on the blu ray, but I just want to double check.

No. This is not a pre sell case, it's an actual steelbook release. You can either go to Best Buy, preorder now, and receive a code to watch their exclusive documentary, and then go pick up your copy in store on 12/4, or you can just wait until 12/4 and get your copy.

No one seems to have that information yet. It's all conjecture at this point.

As for me, I'm gonna try and score the cowl version when the doors open, along with the Steelbook. I've already pre-ordered the Lenticular Digibook, was there confirmation on a non-lenticular? I saw online a version with a lenticular slipcover as well, I might try and grab that as well. I already own 4 different copies of Batman Begins (Gift Set, Walmart Ex., BB Steel, and Standard) and 7 Copies of The Dark Knight (BB Steel, AU, UK Triple Play, Walmart, Standard, Target Mask, Japan Steel) so I am definitely going to have multiple copies of The Dark Knight Rises as well
