That's when you stop reading, and go read someone else.

Here's an objective review of a movie:

"The name of this movie was Some Like it Hot. It ran 95 minutes long. It was directed by Billy Wilder. The lead actors were Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Marilyn Monroe. The plot summary is as follows. [insert plot summary]. People laughed occasionally during the screening. I think it was well-made, but that's just my opinion."

Now that's just loony I don't see how that wouldn't be a horrible distraction.
Either do it all the way or don't do it at all IMO.

That looks like a review I might have written as a 13 year old.

My opinion on critics reviews is that, typically, you should wait until after seeing a movie to read them. Over the years, my tastes have shifted to agree more with critical consensus than they used to - but I still don't like to have my impression of a film molded by a film critic before seeing the film in question. I've loved many a film that left critics feeling lukewarm, and disliked many that critics were fawning over. Just this year, two of my favorite films - Anna Karenina and Cloud Atlas - received a pan by a large portion of the critical community. But I did myself a favor and read reviews after seeing the films.

I like film critics - they get paid for doing what is essentially my dream job. But, in the end, they are just moviegoers. Even when I agree with them, I'd prefer to form my own opinion before I read about theirs.

I really wish there was an option for 2D 48fps. I enjoyed 3D on Prometheus and I'm not anti-3D but still would like the option. Some people I go to movies with hate 3D and 3D in general makes some of then queasy.

What happened 400 years ago?
[Show spoiler]TA 2509 - Cirion, Steward of Gondor, sends summons to the Éothéod for military aid; Celebrían (Wife of ELROND) is waylaid by orcs, receives a poisoned wound, and consequentially departs Middle-earth.
TA 2510 - The alliance between Rohan and Gondor comes into existence. The Easterlings launch a massive invasion of Gondor. The Balchoth invade Rhovanion (which disappears as an independent realm) and Gondor, conquering much of Calenardhon, but are driven back by the people of Éothéod; Gondor gives the now-uninhabited province of Calenardhon to the people of Éothéod
TA 2545 - Eorl the Young, 1st King of Rohan, dies in the battle in the Wold against the Easterlings. Brego succeeds him as the 2nd King of Rohan.

There's also mention in the Appendices of ancient history happening during the reigns of Argeleb I-II.
Or, as Bored of the Rings put it, "during the reign of Arglebargle IV, or somebody else".

Also those
