Good luck with Sanchize Jr. in Matt Barkley or Tyler Brey.
I mean a wins a win right? But I guess no one wants a person who finds a way to win games. Guy hasn't done anything to deserve the hate. Not his fault people make such a media blitz out of it. or maybe it's just cause of his beliefs.

Yep. Same thing probably happens to RG3 (if he wins ), and I'm sure he'll get plenty of hate just cause the jersey sales, espn spots exc.

I just think its odd how some football fans aren't at all curious to see this guy play, and if the jets had just started him and he blew it hard he'd be done and gone, but if he never plays again he'll be a what if legend.

What has he done to deserve the praise or benefit of the doubt that he has reaped. It isn't his fault. I have nothing against the guy, but I just don't want the guy on my team.

Not sure if I ever said he acted like those guys . All I was saying was if he was someone else this supposed disrespect wouldn't have received a fraction of the publicity it has received.

6 fourth quarter comebacks, 7 game-winning drives, as what I would say amounts to a rookie year.

Difference RGIII is a good QB and Tebow is not. He has nowhere near the passing skills RGIII has.

Your right because nobody had the college career he did, or is a (supposed) good person like he is, or has had the what I'd consider intriguing NFL career. If Ryan wanted to punish Tebow he should have thrown him in there and if he failed he'd be gone doing local Florida signings.

Or even better if he plays for another team and does great! Then the Jets are gonna be made to look like even more fools then they already are. Like a oh, great, we sh*t the bed moment on this.

but there's so much hatred though everywhere. Not just sports, but in everything. Like they get more joy out of that.

Sanchez = 2 road playoff victories, AFC Championship Game, 92.7 average 3 game QBR, 4 TD to 2 INT, 60% passing completion percentage all in his rookie year. And we all know how that has turned out. Excluding this year Sanchez has 9 4th quarter comebacks, and 11 game-winning drives. I wouldn't call him a starting NFL QB.

Still don't understand why you think Rex is punishing Tebow by not starting him? He's not good, so he's not going to start. Just because he had a prolific college career doesn't mean he'll have a prolific pro career. NFL history is littered with college stars/NFL washouts. He's a nice guy we get it. Doesn't mean that since he's such a nice guy that he deserves to be placed in a situation he has no business being in.

Can't really tell if a guy is good or not unless he plays really. Or should I say a full starting year.

If a guy is not performing in practices, and a coach deems him unworthy to start then he probably has no business being out there. There is plenty of film from last year plus what Rex sees in practice to make the determination that he does not have the ability to start. I trust Rex and Elway's football acumen over you guys. Sorry

Because it feeds him staying in the news... He has a winning record and helped turn around a 1-4 club, as undeserving of credit as some think he is, that warrants more of a shot then Greg McIlroy. I didn't say being "nice" gets you a starting job, I said being nice buys you credit in the media, more then the characters you mentioned.

Tom Brady was behind Michael Bishop, and if you watched the NFLN story BB said he basically kept Brady on nothing more than a hunch and he was all but cut ? Its meaningless until you get into games.

Doesn't look like Rex knows much about coaching right now.

if things go the way most expect this off season. Alex Smith could be the new QB of the Jets are at least one of those teams in need of one.

And also sometimes it might not be the QB, but the coach instead.

So we are going to blame Rex for the situation the Jets are currently in? Sorry man Tannenbaum is the main culprit for the state the Jets are in with Woody as a close second. He's still a great defensive coordinator who has the ability to draw up brilliant defensive schemes. He probably shouldn't be a head coach but that doesn't mean he has poor football acumen. He's forgotten more football than both of us have ever known.

You're right it was Rex who left the team woefully thin at WR. He was the one who signed Sanchez to an extension and Holmes to an extension. He was the one who drafted absolutely woeful skills positions on offense. Our offense is absolutely horrendous. Greene shouldn't be the starting RB. He should be brought in at the end of the game to grind down the defense after they have been tired out. Jeremy Kerley is currently our best WR. C'mon man Rex has his fair share of blame, but the ultimate failure lays with Tanny.

lol you bring up the rarest of rare occasion to bolster your argument. There is so much more evidence of failures than success rates with regards to great college football QB's.

Smith would definitely be the best choice moving forward, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they sign Mike Vick.

lol again woefully misinterpreting what was said for the umpteenth time. I used the example of Brady as an argument that depth chart spot doesn't matter [RG3 was behind Rex for training camp http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/ey...t-rex-grossman ] and if you can separate the "Tebow is great" shtick from whats actually been said you'd realize people just want to either see him truly fail or succeed. Nobody is saying he's as good as Brady
