You mean opinion. There's nothing factual about that. I, in fact, loved it.

Not only an opinion, but a lame one at that.

Hey, the guy didnt like the movie. Nothing to do with taste. I was slightly underwhelmed myself. I didnt hate it or anything but its the weakest of the three films and is somewhat unsatisfying after being quite wowed by the first two films.

Cant people dislike movies around here? How boring are threads that get dominated by fanboys doing what they are "told" and spewing nothing but blind love for a film that realy does have plenty of "huh" moments and flaws?

That being said - he needs to explain exactly what he didnt like and it can then be discussed. In other words, constructive criticism. I agree that these guys who just come in here and say "it sucks" arent really helping. But, the ones who do come in and try to offer reasons for their dislike are fine with me and I encourage it. The forums get rather dry with continous "best movie ever" posts from the Nolan robots. Ya know?

You should know that box office numbers hardly mean a film is truly good. It just means a lot of people went to see it(not that they all liked it or anything). Transformers 2 & 3, which were arguably two of the worst movies ever also made 734 quntillion dollars and counting. Just saying that box office data is just that - box office data.

TDKR was definitely my favorite film of the year. But Lincoln came very very close.

I don't think anyone cares if someone says they do not like a film, but what does matter is when it is followed by "fact" when clearly it is not, it is opinion, for me personally I do not care that some people do not like this film, I do like it, and so do many, many others

Exactly. When it comes to movies, nobody's opinion matters but your own

hahahahahahaha

but seriously, like was already said above, no one has a problem with someone not liking the movie. in fact there have been many posts discussing peoples dislike for the plot, the sound, the picture quality, etc. the problem is claiming an opinion as fact. 2+2= 4 is a fact. 2+2= is the dumbest equation in math is not fact. Fact: I liked the movie. Fact: StrayButler91 did not. Fact: both of those are our opinions of the movie.

Just to clarify only the hahahahahaha was in response to Constitution 101, the second part was in response to s2mikey

I'm not a "fanboy" either and all your points are valid, but you do understand that these are troll statements by a guy coming into a thread for the sole purpose of provoking others

Dude, to state your opinion as fact is bozo behavior extreme. That's all anyone was taking issue with. If, as others have said, he was just trolling for an excuse to post - that's bad enough. But if he really believes that all his "opinions" smell like roses, then he's as nutty as the fruitcakes who come to my door proclaiming that their God is the only God and I have to accept that as a fact or burn in hell ... Hey, who turned off the AC!?!

I'd rather have fanboys discuss movie, than bashers stirring the pot any day of the week.
If you feel so strongly about how poor the movie is, start a thread that deals with the shortcomings of the film and discuss away.

What is it with LoTR avatar members today? There's another one in the Terminator thread saying it's the "cheesiest" movie he's ever seen. I guess LoTR fans are bitter becuase The Hobbit looks like total shite!

If someone doesn't like something that automatically makes it a fact. Don't you know how the internet works?
