Default Does anyone accually remember this Disney movie?

The sequel to the much beloved Aladdin, it was created after Disney decided to close all holes (or so they thought) in the first Aladdin, plus make more cash.

I never seen it before but I've heard bad things about this movie, which is rare for somethin' that comes out of Disney. Wtanoto and other Disney fans, can I have your say on this?

I thought it was pretty good, although sans Robin Williams if I remember correctly.

I had it on laser disc. It was decent, but Genie just isn't the same without Robin Williams.

If I remember right Dan Castelano (sp?) the voice of Homer Simpson does the genie in that one.

It's okay as far as direct-to-video stuff goes -- as someone here said, better than the third, not even within 100 miles of the first. As with all DTV Disney animation, it's farmed out to the Asian animators who do about 1/3 of the frames the traditional Disney stuff has, so it looks *much* better on the small screen than the big one (so don't be showing it off on your projection system :>)

That was a great movie, i was less impressed by the 3rd, although you can never beat the first movie. I hear that Aladdin is coming to blu-ray some time although no news of late or even a release date.

It was a bad film when it came out...but then Disney started putting out sequels for every damn classic disney film...suddenly this one wasn't so bad anymore.

I saw this one and didn't really care for it because Robin Williams didn't voice the Genie. It's not the worst sequal that Disney made, I actuall like the third movie King of Thieves better and it saw the retun of Robin Williams to the series. I think it was one of the earliest sequals that Disney did and led to the decision of sequalizing every single Disney classic out there. I have never watched any other Disney sequal becuase I think they really cheapen the original classic experience.

Couldn't have said it better!

I have yet to see a direct-to-video Disney movie that was any good when compared to theatrical relases.

I always thought Disney used those to train their new animators or something like that...it certainly shows in the animation. however, the plot of RoJ was memorable and COULD have supported a full disney sequel if they had brought back Robin for the genie and otherwise treated it as such.

Never saw this one. It looked cheap... and if I remember correctly Robin Williams wasn't the voice in this one?
