Default Best Blu-ray Films for black level demos

When friends and family want to be convinced on my future TV purchases on black levels I could show them..

Batman
Sin City
are a given
What else would you say?
Underworld, does that have 100% blacks along with a great level of dark shades?
I tried it on my Samsung LNS4095D and it quite out failed that test lol..can't wait til i buy my XBr4.

300 ..not so due to it being purposely black crushed, some dickwad could laugh at your tv saying it has blackcrush but does not

List your best films for black levels here.

just from my naked eye (not a good one at that) I think From Hell has some amazing black levels. Of course I also thought the same about Assassination of Jesse James.

Bladerunner. One of the best use of shadows and spot lights.

No Country for Old Men, easily. You can all say "Thank you Roger Deakins for your amazing cinematography skills!"

Oh right! This movie has a lot of bright scenes and dark scenes
I forgot. It also has a lot of mixed content along with very black objects on ship along with the blazing sun in the sky. I think it makes the best "overall" demo, its no wonder its used for all store demo displays.

Descent

No Country for old men
are these 3 films worth a buy or a rent?

I have the briefcase and am quite happy with that purchase. It's a very nice item, but it's basically a fan item. Do you look at it and think "that's cool" or "do I really want that?" Really, I think the online pictures of the set are pretty spot-on, what you see is what you get.

As for a movie, I think the obvious choice here is Vacancy.

I elected to get the non-briefcase Blade Runner set. I like to keep all my movies in one spot, and I don't see the briefcase fitting in very well on a DVD/CD/Blu-ray rack. It would've been a different story had they packaged the collection in a metal blu-ray case of the same size and shape as standard blu-ray cases. Sort of like the special edition Platoon DVD.

I am glad somebody brought this up. I have a question: I have a plasma TV and black levels on some DVDs are terrible. I have noticed an incredible improvement in black levels on Blu-rays. Why would this be? It would seem to me that the difference in black levels would not be that much different. Is it that in the replication process and mastering that the studios address the black level issue where they didn't with DVD? Or is it that the extra resolution allows a better graduation of the different blacks? I am very curious as to this.
