Considering it's two different companies, I doubt it.
Are there any extras on that? Do you know if there's a bdinfo about it? Is it region free?

No BDinfo that I can find. May indeed be B locked, but have no means of testing. 50GB disc. i.e. no DVD needed.

I imported the French release and it was not as good looking as the US release. They added some DNR so there was no detail or grain. The US had much better grain structure. So if you can believe it, the US version is actually the best version I've seen, but the audio on the French disc was superior.

I don't suppose you could backup your statement with some screen caps or another discussion thread?

Just check here https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=179724 states the French version has the edge over US. Can anyone confirm if it's region free?

With no screenshots why would you believe this?

Just cause its AVC? AVC isn't always better.

Wish I knew about the French 1080p/24 release. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Crash-Blu-ray/21003/

Instead I purchased the 1080i/50 Australian release. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Crash-Blu-ray/19484/
PQ was average. Maybe 3/5. Not what I expect of a BR release. Even being 1080i/50 (main issue: I hate PAL speed up of movies), I have a few 1080i/50 releases and most look better than the Icon Crash transfer. Example: Caprica Blu Ray) https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Caprica-Blu-ray/25928/ - Although Caprica's original cinema photography was probably HD cameras while Crash was perhaps done on film.

Giving Crash a nice transfer would just be polishing a turd. Oscar or not, it's total garbage.
