I don't mind if a player briefly thanks god. It just comes off VERY phony when Ray Lewis goes like half the interview talking about it. A 5 minute sermon isn't necessary.

![]() BTW, he's the only UM I guy I don't like. Normally I root for all UM grads by default, but he's the only exception to that rule. I never liked him (in part for reasons you've mentioned). And this farewell parade is definitely not helping in changing my mind about him. |

I normally can't stand Shannon Sharpe when he opens his mouth, but he finally said what we're all thinking about Belichick. The dude is a terrible sport. I know he wants to win bad and is disappointed when he loses, like every player on his team, but he needs to man up and get out of his hole.

LOL...
I don't mind him thanking God, but shedding tears with emotional speech and then ONE second later, he's giggling and laughing. If he's treating it as a joke, then how can I respect that act? It's hella fake. He knows he's in front of a camera and he loves to act...that's not real...not even from the heart. hahaha...from the heart my a$$. and yes, he's one of the greatest defender to play the game, but he's still acting. He may have found religion, which I will not fault him for, but that doesn't erase what he did that night from public memory. Plus, he is pretty fake in interviews and the way he presents himself is why he should never be a commentator. He never knows when to cut it off and he can turn his emotions on and off like running water. There's nothing remotely genuine about the guy. His only option is to become an actor since he has the fake personality part down pat.

Hats off to the Ravens.
It's going to sound jaded and arrogant in a way, but I am so tired of seeing the Pats lose AFC championship games and Super Bowls since 2005. It's awesome seeing the team compete and have a legit shot year in and year out, but those 3 titles in 4 years and constantly being a very good team just makes every season they don't win a SB a failure and disappointing as a fan. They really need to start focusing on defense a little more. As if it hasn't been proven with other teams, but offense heavy teams get shut down in the playoffs. It seems like ever since the Pats went offense heavy in 2007, they just get shut down in the playoffs and their defense is never good enough to either keep the game close or make it so the offense doesn't have to work as hard on every play. As a Pats fan, this team has been very mortal the past 8 postseasons. And the records and title count shows it. |

The only guy I'd be very happy for finally getting a ring on Baltimore is Ed Reed. He's long overdue. In fact I wonder if winning a Super Bowl might nudge Reed towards retiring. He's been teasing it for a few years now.

Yeah, he thanks the Lord with TEARS and then one second later, he's celebrating? Thanks the Lord, but don't fake it with the tears...make the whole act fake. If anything, he's disrespecting the Lord. Go watch the interview in the locker room...that's not from the heart man.
Anyway, whatever...I won't respect him if he continues with his fake tears. |

This year's Ravens is certainly a different team from the 2000 Ravens.
2000 Baltimore Ravens: 4-0 in playoffs Playoff game scores: 21-3, 24-10, 16-3, 34-7 2012 Baltimore Ravens: 3-0 in playoffs Playoff game scores: 24-9, 38-35, 28-13 In 2000 they got it done with one of the best defenses in NFL history and literally no offense. In the playoffs they gave up less than 6 points per game and a big chunk of their points scored were by the defense. This year's team is a good deal more balanced. |
