Just ordered my Martin Logan Theos, should have them in a week or two. Extremely excited. I'm planning on purchasing a Sunfire TGA-7400 after that and slowly building it into a full 5 ch setup. Once I move to a bigger space it will be a full 7 ch. I'm thinking the Motif for my center and the EFX for surrounds. What are everyones thoughts on the amp, center and surrounds?

I don't even think you need to ask, everyone in here will be jealous.. Those surrounds are 3k, most people aren't going to pony up for those. Personally, they would look cool, but I'd go with the FX 2's.. Those are made for surround ,plus they are going to disperse the sound a lot more. If you listen to a lot of 5.1 DVD,Blu Ray audio tracks or concerts,I wouldn't waste the money myself.. But they would look awesome..

Only worried about the Sunfire, Bob has left the company...and if you trace Phase Linear and Carver Corp. ... When Bob leaves, quality goes in the tank. I hope this doesn't happen to Sunfire! The amp looks solid...I'm just wondering about support and what's going on with Sunfire.

I disagree. When Bob leaves, it usually means he will start another company and the previous company will disappear.

He has already started BobCarver.com and is making tube amplifiers.

Speaking of Carver, check out this 900 watt stereo amplifier. The cost in tubes alone must be staggering.

Humm, that's a good idea. The surrounds are the last component I will by, I will use my LSI7's for a while anyway so I will have a lot of time to think.

Atleast 300 watts. As far as cosmetics, I want something simple that doesn't weigh half a ton.

Ok, call me nuts, but here it goes....buy 5 Crown XLS 2000's bridge them into mono - you will have 5 channels at 1300 watts into 8 ohms!!! The power is clean and the noise floor is low. If you use them in stereo, you will have 10 channels at 375 watts into 8 ohms. I know audiophiles that have given up high-end amps for these, I'm on other boards and they are powering 800D's, ,Revels, Pendragons, and a host of otheres with these! Also there are a number of online dealers that will allow you to buy them on time (split into 3 or 4 payments) while you have the gear!!!! I'm thinking of doing this myself (but my amps are good...if they go...it's all pro for me). A professional high-end reviewer couldn't get the fans to turn on while powering the 800D's. Just a thought

Oh they don't look that bad either.

Wish I had a pic of your system, you would have enough money left over to rack your gear ....that would give you enough outlets !
