Re music and movie comparison ….

Music and movies are significantly different from the perspective of a network. Music files are generally smaller and quick to download, and also do not impose much burden on the network. However, blu-ray movies which could be close to 50GB running at very high speeds (up to 38 Mbit/s), are totally different as far as the network is concerned.

As I indicated previously, a massive upgrade of core capacity will be required together with very high speed pipe (e.g. fibre) to home. I cannot think of a business model for this to come true in the near future.

the sheer cost of making this happen is huge, like you said and if it follows the music market they would have wasted billions upgrading maybe in 10+ years nowhere in the near future is this going to happen.
