Well. I dont know what to tell ya. I have had my share of materialism early in my teen/early 20's and paid for it later on. (Clothes, cars, electronics, etc etc)

Now at 28, you could walk up to me with a briefcase full of cash and I wouldnt know what to buy. DEAD serious. Not trying to sound all special on the internet full of strangers. But there comes a point in my life I said I have all I want. I am blessed. Yeah maybe a house of my own instead of renting, but that will come and I am not looking forward to mortgage payments.

If its careers, then go to school or find a trade. If your broke there's financial aid.

Anything after that I really don't see being envious/jealous over really.
I know its cliche but many great things you find in life are FREE.

1) Good health
2) Family
3) Kids (well there free to make but cost money to keep.lol)
4) Nature
5) Girlfriends/Relationships. (Free to obtain, might cost to keep.) Depends on you. haha


You get my point. What I am saying is people might have a lot of things but they are just meaningless things or things you can obtain yourself. It might take time and work but you can achieve it.

I am jealous of no one. Because what they have dont mean jack shit unless its some of the things I listed.

My wife bought me a new Macbook Pro just over a week ago and it's my third macbook and fourth Apple computer. I am on my third iPod and today got my first iPhone.
Am I now an "Apple Fanboy"?
I don't think I am computer literate enough to be considered a Fanboy, but I sure love Apple's products.

To look at my Facebook history, one would think that my life is just an endless collage of fun and fulfilling accomplishments, but this is not a complete picture.

I have to remind myself that all of my friends are the same way on Facebook. Most people do not post about feeling lonely or inferior, they do not post about the stress that they feel when they're planning a monthly budget, and they do not post about the could've/would've/should've regrets in life that everyone sometimes has.

One of my favorite sayings is, "If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back."

Whenever I think about how friends of mine seem to have it all together with their perfect lives, I remind myself that they probably assume the same thing about me. The truth is that we all struggle with hidden battles, whether it be finances, loneliness, family problems, addictions, or health. All of those things that nobody wants to post about on their Facebook status.
