Anyways, overrated directors would definitely be The Wachowski "siblings". They've been hanging around for too long. I don't know why they are still making movies. One good film and that's it for these two. No consistency with them at all. I'd also say Spike Lee. He's way more miss than hit. Gus Van Sant. Again, way more miss than hit. They both seem to get respect though which I don't understand. Lars von Trier makes bold movies but that isn't a reason alone to be respected. I find that he gets way more respect than he deserves.

How can the Wachowskis be overrated if most people dislike their post-Matrix work. I actually think they're underrated: Spoed Racer and Cloud Atlas are more successful than people give credit for.
