Just a comment that the Burr-Brown DAC that is offered on the 805 is probably one of the more significant upgrades over the lower end stuff. If you have the speakers to justify it, the Burr-Brown will certainly be noticeable. The extra 30 watts is probably not that big of a deal.

FWIW, I have the 705 and it sounds great. Although, its functionality over the 605 is minimal admittedly.I bought it for the extra HDMI and the THX certification.
