I can't believe the grief they are giving you....

Gee, should we correct how the name came about?

For those wondering, "BD" was first, followed by Blu-ray Disc.

Now that is interesting. What did BD stands for before it being the acronym for Blu-ray Disc?

"BD" came in the footsteps of "LD", "CD", etc. Short, ends in "D", and didn't use the term "HD" which could limit the lifespan/message of the format. Apparently BD didn't stand for anything until a year or two later and lots of market research.

I hop in every now and then but I'm sure Ray will just undo my removal of his bias. He was quick to jump in and add the 51GB info but now he's strangely absent when it's a preliminary issue.

And just like Lee he adds that it's confirmed it'll work in all players when the link he posts says it "should work".

There is few BD fans in wiki, so it's difficult to defend what is true (THE FACT) that TL51 is just "preliminary"

hey, just found the figure for Japan (birthplace to both formats), that 94.8% is BLU for March 2007

it's been fun today at wikipedia. we've added a lot of fact that support BD. We even managed to delete the table about TL51

I need helps if those HD DVD fans returned to Wikipedia in rage.
