No. Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. It stands the test of time, and when people see it for the first time even today they fall in love with Hepburn. It's remembered 60 years later, and will continue to be. Can't see people saying the same about Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook 60 years from now. Could be wrong though.

Not a hater though. I like her. But she's going to win an oscar for something better in the future, so it was a waste this year.

We know Seth, we knew Dave, and we knew Chris Rock, too--That wasn't the question.

I don't get the Chastain love. It was a good performance but I wouldn't consider it anything special. Heck if you want to get technical
[Show spoiler]She wasn't really the one who found Bin Laden. The people working for her in the field did most of the work.

Don't worry I'm sure a movie about a elderly woman who has a cat with feline aids will be nominated next year.

[Show spoiler]Spoiler Alert!

Both the old woman and cat die in a dual suicide.

I smell Oscar gold! That depresses the hell out of me just reading that so imagine what seeing that on film will do. You. Will. Cry. And. Die.

Wow. I was pretty surprised to see Jennifer Lawrence win. She was great in that movie but DAMN! Wasn't expecting that.

Good for her.

I disagree with this type of thinking. Why should it be a waste? If she has a better performance then she should win that year too. That would be like denying DDL this year because, hell, he's won already so why bother?

Honestly, the thing I hate about the Oscars is the thought process that people need to pay their dues before winning awards, or people getting snubbed of awards they deserve because the Academy decides to give the award to someone else as an apology (oh hai Viola Davis.)

It'll break box office records with the 95 - to just a few minutes from the grave crowd.
