more than happy to help man.

if you can afford a supercube after picking up what you want for mains, go for it. ive been searching ebay and craigslist for a couple supercubes myself but they're all just a bit out of my price range right now, especially since i already have a perfectly good working sub. ha.

one other thing to consider also if you do take the plunge on the mythos system, is to let those babies get broken in. granted almost all high end speakers need an ample amount of time to break in, but this applies to the mythos even more. dont get discouraged if you get them home and they sound even more tinny than when you demoed them.

they warm up A LOT after 20 or so hours of break in time. but yeah, reviews on the mythos line are all top notch. its really hard to find someone who was displeased with these speakers

Consider selling your ML Abyss? I have a buddy who is in the market for the Dynamo, but the Abyss would work out quite nicely for him!!!

eeeeeeeeekkk. ya know, i wouldnt be opposed to selling my abyss.....but since i have zero extra funds currently, i'd have to sell it for atleast enough to grab a used supercube 1 sub, which run like 800$ some on ebay

granted i know the abyss isnt worth quite that much used, so it may be best to check out ebay for some abyss subs. it might be a better deal for your buddy. i've seen them go for 600$ used on ebay

Abyss subs tend to not hold up well. They look and sound great, but I'd be concerned about reliability. I've seen three in showrooms, and all were not functioning well, or at all.

Actually, speakers from elemental designs have piqued my interest, as they seem to be a great bang for the buck.

Anyone here have any experience with eD?

My Abyss story: Went to a nearby Magnolia, saw it, but it had weird sound. so I dialed it back (somebody had all the settings on max) and it sounded fine, until it got to a loud passage, then it went all muddy and funky. Pressed the guy (it's a beautiful unit) and he finally admitted it had a problem.

So I went home, read all the reviews I could find on it and the Klipsch (both have three diaphragms, a smart configuration) and the ML had a great equalizer. So I went to another Magnolia, they had one - it had problems, too. So I said, what other stores have one in stock? Nobody - one other store had one, it was down, too.

I'm thinking they had demo units that were beat down, but the guy actually looked a bit relieved when I didn't order one. I didn't get the Definitive he was pushing.

Finally broke down and got the 13" Fathom. That thing will untie your shoes if you stand in front of it for more than three minutes.

Glad yours is doing well...it is a very good looking unit.
