I received the devastating news today that TheBlurayFreak has passed away two days ago. I didn't realize that he was a member of this site. I have been watching his youtube videos and was inspired because of his love of life and movies. Even though I never really had real interactions with him, I felt like he was truly my friend and felt really close to him. It's just sad how someone so full of life could leave us this early in life. I hated the fact that I didn't search his username here on this site until today; he stopped posting about two months ago on all the other social media sites he visited but he was still active here until the 28th of January according to his profile--I just wish that I could have at least sent him a message letting him know how big of an inspiration he has been to me.

I've been watching his videos, and he truly was a great guy. I felt like I've lost a friend because I was inspired with his love for life. This is one of those days when I wish that I could share my boring life with others who more deserve it.

I didn't even want to create this thread because I wasn't sure if the person behind the same username was really him but upon checking all his posts, he did posted here a picture of his blu ray collection that was the same exact thing on his youtube page. Here's the post:

I could still remember him very excitedly sharing the new shelf he and his father has created which only cost him around $40. He had some really great steelbooks that he was so proud of!

This is really sad. If this guy did nothing else let his monument be to take full advantage of your life as you truly don't know how long you have in this world. It seems like he did exactly that. I didn't know him but after watching his hospital video I'll always carry his words with me. Be at peace, bro.

he was 23 years old. he was a really nice guy, and he was an inspiration to me because in spite of everything that happened to him, he always looked at the bright side of life. he was also very close to his family. he removed some of his videos in youtube and some of them were the ones when he was trying to sell his blu ray collection because his family could no longer pay for his medical expenses; it was heartbreaking seeing him get rid of the things that made him happy. the fact that he still posted here until the 28th really showed his love for movies. and yeah, i'll remember how kind and well-mannered he was. i guess it just sucks when the good ones leave first. i'll miss his videos as i have been a susbcriber for more than a year now.

i use to watch his videos and remember his post from years back, 23 is so young.. waht kind of cancer was it? i remember he posted the video about being scammed from FastEddie..

It is always hard to figure out the right things to say in a situation such as this. While I did not have a chance to know this member of our community I hope that he is now in a better place, with a much bigger collection, and all the things he enjoyed in life. 23 is far to young to be taken from this world, especially in the way that he was (Cancer I gather from previous posts) Best of luck to you Freak may you bring joy and passion you had in life to those who are with you now in death.
