Ok i tried searching really couldnt find anything but i saw it on amazon sayin it was sold out was it ever on blu ray is my question?

it has never been on blu

Nope. Released fairly shortly after Paramount's switch to HD DVD.

I think it was only out in HD-DVD and it was terrible.

I'm pretty sure copies have been pressed, but they haven't been released. Sort of like Bee Movie for HD DVD.

I watched it on HDDVD but I like the movie, wasnt a bad transfer at all

This was one of the bigger disappointments for me when Para jumped ship, I want this for my sound system almost more than the movie. I hope it is shipped in the next few months

The master dates from 2003. This is another transfert that needs to be redone before hitting blu.

If they use the same encoding / transfert on Blu, it will means they are porting 5 years old stuff onto brand new technology. This is inadmissible.

I heard there was some pretty significant DNR used which made it pretty smooth. Shame.

Actually, for an 80's movie, it is pretty good quality. Just no special features. None. But it does look impressive given its age.
