Receiver says speaker wiring is reversed?

The manual does say that depending on the speakers, this can happen sometimes even though the wiring is correct. It's weird though, because all my surround speakers are the same brand and model number.

The sound is ok, it just bugs me that the receiver says there is something mis-wired, even though I know it's not.

Just wondering how many of you guys run into this problem?

Are your surrounds dipoles? I believe dipoles are intentionally out of phase to create a more diffuse effect. Of course that doesn;t explain why ther recevier only detected this on 3 out of 4.
