Accessories4less? They're an authorized dealer, so you still have the manufacturers warranty. I purchased a cheaper model denon through them in the past, without any issues. I've never dealt with their customer service though. Hopefully I won't have any need to.

Sorry about coming in here all off topic and stuff. If they had the xs30's in a wood finish I probably would've had a much harder time choosing between those & the Hsu's I ended up getting. I would still like having a PSA mug if anybody gets any extras.

So there's a couple dB advantage for the XV15 when the 20-63hz range is averaged. That is with the pb12plus in 20hz mode. I believe 16hz mode would give you in room extension more similar to the XV15. But you'll lose a dB or so if you set it to 16hz mode. Another variable is you have the older (525? watt) amp versus the new 800w amp version that was measured by audioholics. I guess you might drop another dB or so. So if you have your unit set to 16hz mode the XV15 should offer another 4dB(ish) more output. I guess that could be considered fairly substantial now that I write it all out. To put that in perspective if you had DUAL pb12plus units (with the old amp)---one in each front corner of your room----they would give you about the same output as a single XV15. (within a dB) Also, I would be surprised if you did not feel the overall sound quality of the XV15 was audible superior---particularly with music/concert source material. At the end of the day a lot depends on why you are thinking of upgrading. If you are looking for a HUGE increase in output and/or much deeper extension....a single XV15 probably won't get you there. If you want a bit more output and better sound quality...I think you would be quite happy with a XV15. Tom V. Power Sound Audio |

![]() Several have posted their experiences in different threads around the internet. In this thread go back to posts in the #800-#810 range and you'll see "Bmoney003" talking about a pb12nsd to XV15 upgrade and his thoughts on how each sub compares. Tom V. Power Sound Audio |
