This is cool stuff, but I must ask this, and please don't take it the wrong way:

If you're not into serious high end gaming (which Macs really don't do)...what in the world do you need quad core and especially 8 core on up for anyways?

To be fair: We're barely starting to see benefits of multicore show up even in the most high end of PC games.

Yes, I understand the benefits of multicore in general.
