Need help with buying a new receiver

I'm in the same situation and had about decided on the Yamaha V661 when I heard about Sony's new line just coming out. The one I'm interested in is the Sdrg-710 which lists for $299.00. The big question is whether it will process PCM over HDMI or just does a pass through. I talked with one of the reps over at Magnolia and he looked up the specs and said it seemed to him that it would. If this is the case, any PS3 owner can let the PS3 do the decoding and then pass the PCM over HDMI to the receiver. This will be the cheapest way for PS3 owners to get lossless audio.

The only potential problem is if the PS3 never does DTSHD-MA. I just saw a post in the insiders thread from one of the insiders who indicated that this processing is pretty intense to do in software and the PS3 might not be able to do it. If that turns out to be true, the 710 won't give you lossless for any title that has DTSHD-MA without the LPCM.
