I saw it in a regular theater with the 3D & 48fps & while the 3D was pretty good/very good overall, the whole 48fps thing didn't do much for me, other than to give it a video tape-like look

I'll still plan on waiting for the longer version, even if it's 6-8 months away.

You guys talked about getting the EE of The Hobbit, I'm wondering how long that version will be.

I really enjoyed watching it, and it didn't seem that long to me, I just think the beginning with showing 60 years later (with E. Woods) was a little bit of a waste of time.

I think it's supposed to have around 25 extra mins., & more than likely, a Lot more Special Features (1-2 discs worth) than the one out now.

Fellowship is my favorite too. It seems more true to the source and has more heart. They seemed to get more comfortable changing stuff as they went.

It was shot on 70mm,so it'll probably look better on 4K screens.Hows things down your neck of the woods?

Never seen that one either. I've been working a whole lot down in my neck of the woods.

That's the way I felt too. It gave it that video tape, soap opera, news show, behind the scenes kind of look.

I'll be getting the EE when it comes out too.

I've been working way too much to get in any trouble, unfortunately.

I'm going to try drowning my problems in beer tonight to see if that helps. I've only been drinking once or twice a week here lately, down from my usual three or four times a week.
