PS3 shoud automatically recognize WMP11 with the media sharing enabled, make sure your firewall is configured correctly.
Make sure you add the folders that contain your media files to be shared on the media server. Also, you may need to allow your PS3 to access the media server, you will just simply open the Media Sharing window under WMP11 and allow the "unknown Device" which is your PS3 to connect to it. WMP11 is a bit unstable, but it works, does not transcode or reduces quality of the video, you just have to make sure the file formats to be shared are supported on the PS3... Allan |

I run both WMP11 and TVersity. Tversity has a restart sharing option tab in settings. Once I do that, WMP11 suddenly pops up as well. I just get round it that way most of the time. Unfortunately WMP11 assumes connection will be made straight away as there is no option to test the status of the connection.
